On Tuesday 10 July 2012, Melissa Trimingham, co-investigator on iA, gave a lecture demonstration alongside Donatella Barbieri, Senior Fellow for Design for Performance at the V & A. ‘The Embodied Researcher: effecting change through the body, creative processes, materials and interaction’ took place at the Barbican London as part of the current Bauhaus exhibition Art as Life.
Inspired by the Bauhaus, Melissa Trimingham applied the notion of transformation through costume to her work with autistic children on the project.
‘ The Embodied Researcher’ was part of a series of talks initiated by Donatella Barbieri, and titled ‘Making the Paradigm Shift in Design for Performance Through Costume’.
